ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) – A preschooler at Geneva’s Happiness House will be helping with the coin toss to kick off Hobart and William Smith Colleges on Saturday as the Hobart Statesmen take on Union College at at Boswell Field at 1 p.m.

The game marks the 14th annual Tackles & Touchdowns to benefit Ability Partners Foundation. The Statesmen spent Friday afternoon in the preschool classrooms at Happiness House in Geneva on Pre Emption Road.

Since 2010, Tackles & Touchdowns has raised over $48,000 for Ability Partners agencies Happiness House, CP Rochester, and Rochester Rehabilitation Center. Those who would like to donate can do so by giving a direct gift or pledge based on the number of tackles and ‘touchdowns the Statesmen achieve during the game.

James Iannopollo, 4, has been receiving speech and occupational therapies trough Happiness House for the past two years. Those who work with him say James went from being a child with little to no communication to a bright, happy, talkative boy who can read and express himself. James’ parents Gary and Haley say James is the third of their sons to attend Happiness House.

“We would like to thank Happiness House for this awesome opportunity,” Haley and Gary said. “Best of luck to both teams!”
