SENECA FALLS — The Francis “Ben” Bonafiglia Golf Tournament, chaired this year by Elsa Steo, is set for Aug. 7 at Seneca Falls Country Club.

More than $1 million has been raised since the inaugural 1986 event, with all proceeds from the tournament benefiting Ability Partners Foundation in support of the programs and services offered through Ability Partners agencies: CP Rochester, Happiness House, and Rochester Rehabilitation Center.

This year’s tournament will tee off at 10 a.m., with check-in starting at 8:30 a.m. The fee of $125 per golfer includes continental breakfast, a take-home meal, food and beverages available all day, 18 holes of golf with carts provided, and complimentary Under Armour quarter-zips valued at $75 for each golfer, courtesy of Bonafiglia Family Foundation and APF. Throughout the day, golfers will have the opportunity to participate in raffle drawings and contests including a hole-in-one contest to win a 2025 Chevrolet Trax courtesy of Amy Cram, president of Bill Cram Chevrolet.

Steo became involved with APF as a founder in 2009, first as part of the advisory board and then as a board member. She is currently a member of the Development, Nominating & Governance, and Audit & Finance committees. She served as board chair of APF from 2017-19 and Development Committee chair from 2019-23.

She also serves as a WomenHeart Champion and co-leads the WomenHeart Support Network of Rochester, one of more than 100 support networks nationwide for female heart patients nationwide. Before joining the APF Board, she served eight years (two years as board chair) with Ronald McDonald House Charities of Rochester.

The tournament’s Naming and Underwriting Sponsor is the Bonafiglia Family Foundation and Andy Bonafiglia, and Elite Sponsors are Massa Construction, Morgan Stanley/David Cohen and OneGroup.
