AROUND THE LAKES: Rolling for a good cause — Ability Partners Foundation’s bowling event raises money in support of individuals with disabilities

CANANDAIGUA — Join Ability Partners Foundation as it hosts the 13th annual Bowling to Raise Bucks event on Friday, Nov. 1 at Roseland Bowl. All proceeds will benefit APF in support of the programs and services offered through Ability Partners agencies: CP Rochester, Happiness House, and Rochester Rehabilitation Center.
APF’s Bowling to Raise Bucks tournament registration starts at 6 p.m. with bowling beginning at 7 p.m. The family-friendly evening features bowling, music, food, candy, and prizes. Over a decade of bowling has raised more than $130,000 to benefit individuals of all ages and abilities directly. Each bowler is required to raise/donate a minimum of $40 in pledges ($30 for ages 12 and under). The pledge covers the cost of two games of the Roseland Laser Light Bowling Experience with shoe rental, pizza, soda, and includes a prize drawing of more than 40 donations just for participating.
